Ptarmigan Arts is soliciting artists for shows in the Back Room Gallery for 2009. If you are interested, please submit a proposal and include the following information.
1. - All entries will be juried on the submission of a minimum of 10 digital images or high quality photographic prints that best represent the originality of your designs and integrity of your work. Submissions should be sent on a PC-compatible CD in a JPEG or TIF format with maximum dimensions of 400 pixels.
2. –Please include a listed inventory of the artwork (either handwritten or printed as text on
the CD) including medium, size, and date when created.
3. And/or original samples of your work (optional). If you do not have high quality photographs, either prints or digital, we must see a minimum of 5 samples of your work.
4. Resumé and references.
5. A statement of your intent for the show, including a theme or name if possible.
Will the work shown in your CD/photos be a part of the show? If your proposal or intention for the show deviates significantly from your representative work, we may request additional information.
5. List your first 3 choices for a show date. Most shows will be approximately one month long and will usually open on the first Friday of each month and end on the Wednesday prior to the first Friday of the next month. Occasionally a show will be on exhibit for 6 weeks.
6. All months of 2009 are open.
7. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of CD and resumés.
The deadline for submission of proposals is September 30th, 2008.
You will be notified within 15 days of the results.
The gallery retains 40% of all sales.
