The Back Room Gallery will be highlighting New Works by Ptarmigan artists created during the past seven months. Winter and Spring are a great time to explore our creativity and produce new artwork for the upcoming summer season, so come in and check out what's new by Toby Tyler (paintings on barrel staves), Caryl and David Christy (fused glass), Kathleen Drew and Janaan Kitchen (encaustics), Jan Peyton and Bev Macy (original watercolors), Alice Haggerty, Jewels and Peggy Fischer (beaded jewelry), Deb Lowney (woodblock prints and carved wood sculptures), Ted Heuer (turned wood), Dan Fischer (marquetry), Kim Best and Cindy Nelson (mosaics), Karen Roush (photography), Mavis Muller (woven basket) and Jean Steele (hand-painted raku pottery).
"Aerial Ice Formations" is a photograph by Karen Roush.
"Poppy Spirits" and "Glass Jewels" are fused glass wall pieces by Caryl Christy of Sea Escapes Studio.
"Sandhill Crane" is a large fused glass piece by David Christy of Sea Escapes Studio.
"Tranquility - Halibut Cove" is an original watercolor by Jan Peyton
"Goddess of my Mind" is a glass mosaic by Cindy Nelson
This turned wood lidded box with finial was made by Ted Heuer and has 227 individual pieces of Ebony, Maple, Black Cherry, and Alaskan Birch.
This turned Salt and Pepper Mill Set was made from Flame Boxelder and was also created by Ted Heuer.
"Vital Connections" is a hand-woven basket by Mavis Muller made of rye grass, birch bark, eucalyptus bark and found feathers.
