Ted Heuer
Style: Woodworking
An avid woodworker for over 30 years, I began selling some of my pieces about 15 years ago through Northwest Fine Woodworking in Seattle.
In 2007, after a 30-year career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, I retired and now devote much of my time to designing and making quality one-of-a-kind turnings and other wooden art.
My wife Beth and I are year-round residents of Homer and love to fish and garden during the summer.

I frequently put 8 (or more) coats of finish on a piece, hand sanding between each coat. I use a durable waterproof polyurethane glue to laminate contrasting woods together, which enhances not only the visual appeal, but the stability and durability of the piece. Nothing I make is mass produced. Each of my items is individually handcrafted and I rarely, if ever, make two pieces that are identical.
I am also available to create a custom piece for you.
