Card Rack minimum or free**
There is a $34 minimum on all spaces (approx. 8’ x 4’ or 7’ x 5’ or 6.5’ x 5’ or jewelry case = 3 ft.).
**There is no charge on the card rack if you are renting another space.
Utilities This charge will fluctuate monthly depending on the time of year and the number of artists present at the beginning of each month. The average is approximately $6-$18 per artist, per month.
Snowplow This is an annual fee of $10.00 to help with the cost of winter snow removal and sanding of the parking lot.
15% of Sales There will be a 15% commission on sales. All sales must be written up on a Ptarmigan Arts receipt and all money transactions shall go through the front desk.
2% There will be a 2% discount on the 15% stated above for attendance at meetings.
Committees Each artist is required to volunteer time on one or two committees and a discount of 1 to 2% will also be deducted from the 15% commission rate.
Scholarship This is an annual charge of $12.50. This money is given as a scholarship to 1 or 2 high school students every year.
Working Each artist is expected to work at the counter, the number of days will depend on the number of artists in the gallery; currently the workday calendar is approximately once every 4 weeks. Arrangements can be made for in-house substitutes at a cost of $8.50/hour or a trade of equal value.
Packaging Various sizes of sacks, recycled boxes and packaging peanuts will be provided. Special boxes (especially for jewelers) shall be provided by individual artists.
Artists will be billed monthly for the appropriate charges. These charges are due by the 20th of the month and delinquent on the 25th. For bills not paid by the 25th there will be a $5 late fee on those under $75 and a $10 late fee on those over $75.
The 10% to 15% commission will be deducted from the artist paychecks.
A few artists will be taken on a consignment basis of 35% - 40% depending on certain agreements that can be discussed. Consignment artists will be juried under our regular jury process and upon approval by the jury and if the artist requests the consignment basis, it will be the sole decision of the owner whether or not an artist will be taken on these terms.
