Seward artist

J. Leslie for August First Friday

Ptarmigan Arts Gallery is happy to introduce J. Leslie as our First Friday artist for August.  He is presenting his Pop-up show in our Back Room Gallery.  J. will be available on Friday (August 6th) for discussion or questions about his unique style.

J. Leslie was born and raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire surrounded by tall peaks and expansive wilderness, themes that continue to inspire his brightly colored, geometric abstractions of mountainous landscapes.

J. studied fine arts at Skidmore College in upstate New York before moving west in search of bigger peaks and more wilderness.  He now lives with his wife and daughter in Seward.  His artwork can be seen in galleries throughout Southcentral Alaska and also as public murals in his hometown of Seward.

J. will have a selection of original works, prints, note cards, and stickers available at his Pop-up show on August 6th from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Come on by to meet the artist and enjoy his colorful and beautiful artwork!
